Tusangaire was born out of my struggle to ensure my children remained connected to their cultural roots even as they moved from country to country.  As a Ugandan parent working in international development and living in different countries, I often struggled to find ways to connect my children with their heritage. Having grown up far from Uganda, they missed out on the unique experiences that shaped my own identity. I wanted them to understand, appreciate, and embrace the richness of Ugandan culture, but each time we returned home, I was frustrated by how difficult it was to find authentic, immersive experiences that could inspire, educate, and inform them.

In 2024, this frustration gave birth to Tusangaire. What began as a personal journey to help my children reconnect with their roots evolved into a broader mission: to help travelers everywhere experience the transformative power of cultural tourism.
